Depending on where you look for remap gains on the VW Transporter, you might see years (the years the model or generation was manufactured) that differ. Easily done when there’s several generations of the same vehicle model.

4 VW Transporters (T4, T5, T6 and T6.1)

Here’s a summary:

The various VW Transporter models.

  • Manufactured from 2004 to the end of 2009, Transporters are designated as a T5
  • Manufactured from early 2010 to 2015, Transporters are designated as a T5.1
  • Manufactured from 2015 to 2019, Transporters are designated as a T6, and
  • Manufactured from 2019 to 2024 they are designated as a T6.1
