Engine (ECU) Remap Gains
independent reference for ECU remapping figures
RemappingData.com is an independent reference site that publishes Stage 1 ECU remap performance figures, standard power and torque before and after a remap, for thousands of individual car, van and campervan engine variants in the UK. Every figure comes from researched tuning data rather than guesswork, and where reliable data doesn’t exist for a particular engine, that engine simply isn’t published rather than having numbers invented to fill the gap.
Find almost any vehicle in the full vehicle search or list of all makes and models.
Built on Data, Not Marketing Claims
Most remapping information online comes from the tuners themselves, which is understandable but means the numbers are often presented as the best possible outcome rather than a realistic one. RemappingData.com takes a different approach. We cross-reference figures across multiple reputable tuning sources for each engine, discount anything that looks like an outlier, and present a calibrated, honest picture of what Stage 1 remapping typically achieves, not an “up to” headline figure designed to sell a service.
Each engine has its own page showing the original and remapped BHP and torque, the percentage gain, and what that gain actually feels like on the road, whether that’s a livelier mid-range in a diesel van or sharper throttle response in a turbocharged petrol hatchback. We don’t cover Stage 2 or beyond, and we’re upfront about why: we don’t have the reliable data to back those figures, and a site built on trust shouldn’t print numbers it can’t stand behind.
If you’re trying to work out whether a remap on your specific vehicle is worth doing, start by finding your make and model. If you run a remapping business and want to be visible to people at exactly this stage of research, see how specialist listings work on this site.

A note on accuracy
All figures on this site are compiled from manufacturer specifications and established UK tuning specialists, but we cannot guarantee that any individual vehicle will achieve the exact gains shown. Real-world results depend on factors such as vehicle condition, service history, fuel quality, and the tuner carrying out the work. This site is intended for guidance and information only, and is not a guarantee of performance.
